Anna was born in Calgary but has lived in Canmore Alberta for almost all of her life and considers herself to be a true local mountain girl. Her passion for photography started at a very young age as she was winning photo competitions and selling her artwork at the age of six! Her interest in photography was then put on hiatus for a few years but the spark was reignited in the fall of 2016 when she was chosen to participate in the through the lens exhibition at the Whyte Museum in Banff. Since then she was continued to work with photography by traveling to Japan to participate in an international photography competition, working for Banff Photography and taking photos for the local Canmore Folk Music Festival. Her passion for the outdoors, meeting new people and travel has taken her on many adventures around the world from attending and teaching school in Finland to camping out on top to the peaks that surround the Bow Valley. This sense of adventure drives her love and skill for photography as she continues to take photos with friends and learns more and more about the art of photography. Anna was also a member of the 2017 Youth Canadian National Biathlon Team and is currently training with the biathlon Alberta training center out of Canmore. She has the long term goal of someday representing Canada at an Olympic games.
